In this audio clip I used the basic drum beats to get a "beat" that I was looking for. While messing around for a little bit I realized I wanted a little darker of a kick, but also wanted to make a hip-hop beat. In my intro I have a high hat hit to start out the beat. I like using the high hats because in live songs where drummers start out songs by counting off they use the high hat, and I like that sound. I was interested in the clap feature and used it for sort of a fill. I used more of a acoustic echo sounding snare for a classic rock/reggae feel. For my last drum fill I used the kick and high hat in unison, because the first time I messed around on drums I could easily do something like that. The shaker throughout the clip I thought would give it a feel that you don't get in other songs, I had some trouble making all the different loops work together.
